Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 5317 for OS X 10.11 to macOS 10.14 (Update Product ID: 093-57499)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 5317 for macOS Catalina and later (Update Product ID: 093-57500)
XProtect is part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The package does not appear in the Software Update section of System Settings. macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security responses.

- As Apple has now released most official manuals and support documentation for macOS Tahoe, all links in the quick-help feature could be updated and adjusted accordingly.
- Fixed a problem where TinkerTool System for Recovery Mode (ttsfrm) refused to work on specific Macintosh models under specific circumstances.
- Fixed a problem where the main control window kept its position but not its size when relaunching the application.

We are releasing TinkerTool System
9 version 9.82:
- Added full support for macOS 26 Tahoe.
- Added new diagnostic startup option to block execution of Intel code on Macs with Apple Silicon (macOS 26 only).
- The toolbar and sidebar of the application have been redesigned to support the Liquid Glass features and guidelines of macOS 26 Tahoe.
- Added support for the integration of TinkerTool 11.
- Temporary workarounds for technical defects in preview versions of Apple’s development tools could be removed. This will cause the application icon and the color legend of the log database query tool to be shown in their expected sizes again.

TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into macOS. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.

Software Updater, version 2.0:
- Added full support for macOS 26 Tahoe. The minimum operating system version for Bresink Software Updater 2 is now macOS 15 Sequoia. Releases for older operating systems down to macOS 10.12 remain still available.
- Added new workarounds to handle failures of Spotlight that could cause application entries to be missing from the list immediately after a software update had been performed. The new technique avoids the long waiting phase when rescanning for current information.
- The application icon has changed to support the new design features of macOS Tahoe.
- The security component for privileged operations now uses the latest macOS technologies. It is no longer necessary to install it upon first start, it only needs an approval to run.

Manager version 6.0:
- Added full support for macOS 26 Tahoe. This is now the minimum version for NFS Manager 6. Releases for older operating systems down to macOS 10.12 remain still available and the licenses are valid for all variants.
- Added support for Apple’s new client for NFSv4.1.
- Added new feature to check the mapping of user and group accounts between client and server for network environments with NFS version 4 or later.
- Added new feature to import static NFS mounts from a Unix fstab file, migrating them to macOS automounts.
- Added new features to test an NFS server remotely.
- For some network environments, the policy to select the “best” domain name to refer to the local computer in the graphical user interface has changed.
- The security component for privileged operations now uses the latest macOS technologies. It is no longer necessary to install it upon first start, it only needs an approval to run.
- The minimum size of configuration document windows was enlarged.
- The design of the user interface for directory services authentication has been modernized.
- The application icon has changed to support the new design features of macOS Tahoe.
- Many small changes in the user interface.
- Outdated history documentation for NFS Manager 3 (up to July 2015) has been removed from the reference manual.
NFS Manager is an application to control the NFS features built into macOS via a comfortable graphical user interface. The application uses Apple’s technologies like Bonjour or Open Directory to make management as easy as possible. When using directory services, NFS Manager can configure NFS features not only for a single computer but for a whole network of thousands of Macintosh systems, with a few mouse clicks only.

We are releasing Battery Monitor
version 5.5 through the Mac App Store:
- The application icon had to be changed to maintain full compatibility with macOS 26 Tahoe.
- Enhanced support for VoiceOver in some helper and
explanatory panels, and in the dialogs for battery log
maintenance.
Battery Monitor is a powerful App to display the charge state of portable Macs in the Dock, to display internal battery information, to capture charge and discharge curves, to keep logs of the aging process of the battery, and to add notifications via Notification Center or speech output.

System Monitor Plus is a free add-on for System Monitor. After simply copying it to your computer, many additional features become available which are not permitted to be directly included in Apps from the Mac App Store.

Checker version 4.5:

- The dialogs and procedures for activating the Security Component of the application have been simplified because Apple fixed some (but not all) issues with the management of Background Items.
Sync Checker is a diagnostic application which can check if two folders or volumes are perfectly synchronized, i.e. if they have exactly the same contents. When creating backup copies of valuable files, or when making sure that two computers or mobile devices work on the same set of data, the status of being “in perfect sync” can be very important. In order to be safe and to prevent loss of data, you can let Sync Checker verify whether a pair of file collections is matching exactly or not.

Backup Server Control provides a graphical user interface to setup and administer a server for network-based Time Machine® backups with a few mouse clicks on a Macintosh®. Other Macs running macOS Sierra or later can perform backups on the Time Machine server. The current status of network backups can be reviewed any time.

- The application now accepts that its icon can be replaced by the Finder. This will no longer raise a security warning.
SystemLoad is a diagnostic application assisting you in the detection of cooling or power supply problems with Apple Macintosh computers. The tool can put a user-definable load onto one or more processors.

We are releasing PrefEdit
version 5.7:
- Legacy support for macOS 11 and 12 was removed. The new version requires macOS 13 or later.
- The application icon has changed to support the new design features of macOS 26 Tahoe.
- Due to changes expected in future versions of the Mac App Store, customers who purchased a license for the former PrefEdit (App Edition) between 2011 and 2014 in the App Store can unfortunately no longer re-use their old Apps as substitute for a registration of PrefEdit. Affected customers should continue using version 5.61 as long as Apple supports this.
PrefEdit is an application to manage nearly all aspects of the preference system contained in every macOS installation. The program consists of two components which are tightly integrated with each other: (1) An entry point to the preferences database of macOS, with access to all settings which are effective for your user account, (2) a browser and editor for macOS property list files (plists).

- Command Line Tools for Xcode 26.0 (Update Product ID: 093-35114)
The Command Line Tools enable UNIX-style development via Terminal by installing command line developer tools, as well as macOS SDK frameworks and headers. Many useful tools are included, such as the Apple LLVM compiler, linker, and Make. If you use Xcode, these tools are also embedded within the Xcode IDE.
