If you have purchased a registration key for TinkerTool System 1 in the time period between July 3, 2008 and June 30, 2009, you will be qualified for a free upgrade to TinkerTool System 2. The additional registration code will be sent to you automatically.

If you have purchased the registration for TinkerTool System 1 between July 3, 2008 00:00:00 UTC and June 30, 2009 00:00:00 UTC, you will be qualified for a free upgrade to TinkerTool System 2. The additional registration key will be sent to you automatically.

If you have bought a registration for TinkerTool System 1 before July 3, 2008, or after June 30, 2009, you will have to purchase an additional registration to use TinkerTool System 2.


I have a registration for TinkerTool System 1, but I am not qualified for a free upgrade. Can I get TinkerTool System 2 at a reduced price?

Unfortunately this is not possible. Other than the courtesy period for customers who have bought TinkerTool System 1 within the last 12 months, there is no special upgrade pricing. The efforts to check legitimacy of the upgrade buyers would be higher than the product price.


I am using Mac OS X Panther (10.3) or Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). Can I upgrade to TinkerTool System 2?

No, TinkerTool System 2 is not compatible with these operating systems. You should continue to use TinkerTool System 1 until you plan to upgrade the operating system, too.


I own a registration key for TinkerTool System 1. Will I still receive free updates for this product line?

Yes, TinkerTool System 1 will still be updated, and the updates within the version 1 series will be free of charge. The updates will enhance product quality but no new features will be added. TinkerTool System 1 will not be compatible with Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6).


Can I still buy registration keys for TinkerTool System 1?

Yes, TinkerTool System 1 is still available and under full support. TinkerTool System 1 is the recommended version for customers using Mac OS X Panther (10.3) or Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). If you are using Mac OS X Leopard (10.5), or if you plan to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), you should buy a registration key for TinkerTool System 2.


What do I have to pay for updates of TinkerTool System 2?

All 16 updates for TinkerTool System 1 have been available for free in the last 5 years. It is planned to continue this policy within the TinkerTool System 2 product line. This means registered customers of version 2 can download and use updates for version 2 free of charge.
