JPEG Photo File Date Version History

Release 1.3 (Build 250523)

The user interface and processing in cases where the App Store requests a revalidation of the license have changed. The program now quits during the procedure, preventing the possible optical illusion that the app would be part of license checks or the handling of Apple Accounts. These tasks are carried out exclusively by macOS. Users have to restart the app manually when the App Store prevented a successful launch.

Release 1.2 (Build 240711)

  • Added new feature to automatically adjust the modification date or creation date of any folder based on its contents.
  • The App now automatically disables sleep mode while very long operations for JPEG files are running.
  • Added necessary changes to ensure that the App remains compatible with future versions of the Mac App Store.

Release 1.1 (Build 231102)

  • Added new feature to fix the date specifications of photo folders additionally after the app has repaired all date fields for image files in a certain folder and that folder does not hold any other data.
  • Added new dialog to stop a running operation when executing a bulk job on several thousand image files. The user interface of the app will now always remain responsive even for jobs that take a long time to complete.
  • Added new guidance for cases where a user instructs the app to scan folders which cannot be modified or where privacy-protected resources could be accessed.
  • Removing entries from a job table for which a specific sort order had been specified is now significantly faster.
  • User guidance has been changed in cases when scanning image folders which contain JPEG files but not JPEG photos with recording dates which could be processed. This avoids confusing situations when an empty result is returned.
