Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Final Cut Pro X Supplemental Content (Update Product ID: 047-27208)
The update adds the following content for use in Final Cut Pro X:
- Sound Effects: Over 1300 rights-free sound effects installed into the Audio Browser of Final Cut Pro X.
- Audio Effect Presets: Additional preset effects for the Space Designer plug-in.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Motion Supplemental Content (Update Product ID: 047-27207)
The update adds the following content for use in Motion 5:
- Motion Templates: A variety of professionally-designed, customizable templates.
- Motion Library Content: Animated vector graphics, backgrounds, template media, sample Motion projects, and royalty-free still images.
- Motion Sample Media: Clips and images for use with Motion Help examples and tutorials.

January 22, 2026:
Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 5326 for OS X 10.11 to macOS 10.14 (Update Product ID: 047-34129)
- Apple XProtect Configuration Data version 5326 for macOS Catalina and later (Update Product ID: 047-34130)
XProtect is part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The package does not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
January 20, 2026:
We are releasing Autostarter
version 2.4 through the Mac App Store:
- macOS Tahoe is currently not capable of handling sliders in tables correctly. The controls for setting startup delays and the times for aggressive hide commands have been modified accordingly as a workaround.
Autostarter is a small app that makes it possible to launch applications automatically during login without letting the applications show windows, even with macOS 13 Ventura or later.
January 14, 2026:
We are releasing JPEG Photo
File Date version 1.4 through the App Store:
- The icons of the app have been slightly modified to ensure full compatibility with macOS Tahoe.
JPEG Photo File Date comes to help when you have lost the file creation or modification times of JPEG photo files: It can read the metadata of a JPEG photo file when the picture was taken and fix the file settings for “date created” or “date last modified” accordingly. Even large amounts of pictures, such as a folder hierarchy with several tens of thousands of photos, can be processed quickly without any problems.
