We are releasing PrefEdit version 4.1.

  • Added new feature to delete multiple entries of an array or a dictionary in a property list at the same time.
  • Added new notification feature that makes the user aware when a running application changes preference settings the user is currently viewing in a non-edited document window. The user can then refresh the window to retrieve the up-to-date status.
  • Added new feature to show the Powerbox preference settings of sandboxed applications if available.
  • Added new feature to export binary data items of property lists into files.
  • The application will show more targeted error messages if licensing fails due to a misconfigured network firewall.
  • The distribution package now uses the latest Gatekeeper security features.

Safari Technology Preview allows users to get a sneak peek at upcoming web technologies in macOS and experiment with these technologies in websites and extensions.

We are releasing Backup Server Control version 1.5.

  • The application will show more targeted error messages if licensing fails due to a misconfigured network firewall.
  • The distribution package now uses the latest Gatekeeper security features.
  • The date and size columns can now be sorted numerically (instead of alphabetically) when listing the backup data sets.

Apple releases new software via macOS Software Update:

  • XProtect version 2101 (Update Product ID: 041-19430)
XProtect is part of the built-in antivirus software of macOS. The package does not appear in the Software Update section of System Preferences (or App Store in older versions of the operating system). macOS is updating the software automatically in the background if you have granted the system permission to download system data files and security-related files.
