As noted in the window and in the corresponding documentation section, Apple must provide related features in the NVMe device driver to collect statistical power data for an attached SSD.
If you use a combination of hardware and software where Apple unfortunately does not support this, Mac Power Monitor will only be capable of displaying zero readings. The program itself cannot gain access to the hardware and cannot change this situation.
