TinkerTool System 2Tasks: How can I change the Desktop background of the login screen?

The login window of Mac OS X is shown in front of the system's default background picture. If you don't like the image, you can replace it by selecting a different one via an advanced preference setting of Mac OS X. Perform the following steps:

  1. Open the pane Login.
  2. Select the tab item Background.
  3. Choose one of the picture families using the list at the left. Then select one of the pictures by clicking on it in the overview at the right. You can also open an arbitrary picture via the item Select picture….
