How many registrations  do I need?

There is one simple rule: You need one registration for each computer that is monitored at the same time.

Registrations for Hardware Monitor and Hardware Monitor Remote are interchangeable. So if you are running Hardware Monitor and Hardware Monitor Remote on one computer you'll need only one registration for this system. If another copy of Hardware Monitor connects to this system, it will need a second registration because then we'll have a network of two monitored computers which are in use at the same time.

Another example: You have 2 computers that should be capable of monitoring each other. In this case you install the applications 4 times (a copy of Hardware Monitor and a copy of Hardware Monitor Remote on both systems), but you only need to buy 2 registrations.

Hardware Monitor Remote: Buying licenses

End-of-Life Notice: Hardware Monitor is no longer in development (Why?)

Try before Buy

You can download the application Hardware Monitor Remote free of charge. This allows you to evaluate the software to see if it suits your needs.

If you like the software and want to keep it, you will have to place an order for the number of usage licenses you require. You will receive the requested number of registrations from the software reseller. Each registration allows you to unlock the software to fully utilize it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Software packages published on June 1, 2016 or later are required for this registration. New licenses for use with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or lower are no longer sold.

License model

A license for Hardware Monitor is fully interchangeable with a license for Hardware Monitor Remote. This means you can run Hardware Monitor and Hardware Monitor Remote on one computer with the same registration. But when you start to connect multiple programs to form a network, you will need different registrations for each concurrently connected computer.

In the following example, Hardware Monitor Remote is running on 4 computers, whereas 2 of them are equipped with Hardware Monitor. Note that one system is running both applications at the same time. The arrows indicate in which direction sensor readings are being transferred.

Example: Remote Monitoring

You'll need different registrations for each computer being monitored concurrently. In the example above, 5 registrations (not 6) are needed (under the assumption that all 5 computers are in operation at the same time).

Prices and Placing Orders

Because the registrations are freely interchangeable between Hardware Monitor and Hardware Monitor remote, the same prices and conditions apply.
