Known Issues

Problem: A design flaw in the updater application Microsoft® Office 2008 12.1.1 Update causes that program not to recognize the Office 2008 components as updatable software after the operations Thinning or Remove language packages have been performed on these components.

Workaround: Avoid the operations Thinning and Remove Language Packages on components which are part of Microsoft® Office 2008. This issue is under investigation. It is planned to be resolved in future updates of TinkerTool System.

Problem: If you are trying to remove language packages from PostScript printer descriptions (PPDs) in Mac OS X Tiger on a system disk where PPDs have never been installed or have been removed manually, TinkerTool System will display the warning message Translations of PostScript(R) printer descriptions (PPDs) will only be removed if you are selecting a Mac OS X system volume as top folder. You current selection does not include the PPDs. Do you like to continue?. The message is correct because you have selected a folder which does not include PPD files. However, the message may be partially confusing because you have in fact selected the Mac OS X system volume as top folder.

Workaround: Just press the Yes, continue button. You can ignore this message because your system does not include PPD files. The message will be optimized in future versions of Mac OS X.
