Problem: A design flaw in the updater application Microsoft® Office 2008 12.1.1 Update causes that program not to recognize the Office 2008 components as updatable software after the operations Thinning or Remove language packages have been performed on these components.
Workaround: Avoid the operations Thinning and Remove Language Packages on components which are part of Microsoft® Office 2008.
