How do I
set folders the helper should operate on? |
The folders that should
be processed by the helper tool are shown in a table in the middle of the
control window.

To add a folder press
the Add... button. Select one or more folders in the
open sheet that will be displayed and press OK. The folders
will be added to the list.
To remove one or more
folders from the list, select them and press the Delete button.
- The helper tool will only process folders stored on
file systems that support resource forks and permission settings natively.
- If you select a folder that is specified by an alias,
the alias will be resolved automatically at the time the selection is made.
- If a specified folder contains a Macintosh alias, file
operations take place on the alias itself, not on the referenced file.
If a specified folder contains a Unix link (or symbolic link), file operations
take place on the linked file, not on the link itself. If a specified folder
contains a Unix link (or symbolic link) to another folder, the helper process
will not process the contents of the linked folder for security reasons.
- If specified folders are deleted while the helper process
is running, the helper will ignore this, even if all folders are removed.
When such a folder is recreated under the same name later, the helper will
automatically detect this and continue its work on this folder.
